A new cybersecurity research published this summer shows latest statistics on SMBs cyberattacks, and it is not good news.
61% of SMBs experienced successful cyberattacks in the past year, with 87% facing repeat attacks. Business downtime affected 58% of respondents, and a third lost customers due to the attacks. 39% reported losing customer data.
The study emphasizes the importance of trusted partners for addressing security challenges, with 69% of respondents seeking advice from them. Knowledge of cyberthreats is a major challenge, underscoring the role of service providers in providing expertise. While 87% felt IT providers understood their cybersecurity challenges, only 39% believed they comprehended all issues.
Cyberattacks are on the rise and SMBs, because of less appropriate security systems and processes, are heavily targeted.
